At 23, Australian singer/songwriter and producer Oscar Slorach-Thorne has already worn many hats and gleaned an impressive resume. In 2009, his now defunct art-pop ensemble Psuche released their self-titled debut album to ardent critical acclaim from Mess + Noise, Cyclic Defrost, and RRR amongst others. The band split after the release, but Oscar and Psuche's Martin King teamed up as Oscar + Martin to preserve the musical elements that made Psuche's debut such a compelling listen. Oscar + Martin's experimental pop earned the duo high profile support slots for St. Vincent, Four Tet, Metronomy, and Gotye, and shortly after, Oscar began working alongside Mercury Prize-nominated wordsmith Ghostpoet and Brooklyn's MeLo-X on their recent MELOGHOST collaboration.
Now concentrating on his solo work as Oscar Key Sung, Slorach-Thorne has released two promotional singles, a cover of Miguel's "Sure Thing," and a lavish new video for "It's Coming." Oscar Key Sung is currently touring Australia with Ghostpoet as he road tests new material for an early 2014 debut solo release.
