Novelty Daughter Announces Long-Awaited Debut LP + Premieres "Day of Inner Fervor" at Stereogum

Novelty Daughter, the project of Brooklyn-based musician Faith Harding, unites a childhood of jazz training in vocals and piano, countless Wednesday nights spent at Los Angeles’ beat scene fortress Low End Theory, and formative time spent in Berlin’s warehouses. The result of this stylistic wanderlust is music that strives to contain the best of the various worlds Harding inhabits—loop-heavy beat constructions that are rich in texture, hard-hitting in delivery, and a devout consciousness of melodic intricacy and song-centered structures.

After several one-off singles and an EP, Novelty Daughter will finally release her debut full length album Semigoddess on March 25, 2016 by way of Brooklyn electronic indie Stereocure (A Sol Mechanic, Native Eloquence). Stereogum has the first look into the album today, with the premiere of "Day of Inner Fervor." The Dennis-Moran-directed animated video "captures all the weirdness and wonder that is [Novelty Daughter's] take on pop" (Stereogum).
