Bent Denim Announce Debut LP + Share "Caitlin" via Noisey

"It doesn't get more real or honest than [this]."

Bent Denim is Ben Littlejohn and Dennis Sager -- a duo based in both Nashville and New Orleans who make delicate "nightmare pop" by sending tracks back and forth over email. The resulting sound is a dark, emotive nervous energy with exceptional, introspective lyrics, a la Sparklehorse and Youth Lagoon.

"Two bookish city kids that got trapped at a rest stop in the Deep South and had to record an album there with the ghost of William Faulkner." - Ben and Dennis

The band's debut Epistolary EP was released in March 2014 to praise from DIY Magazine, Brooklyn Vegan, Earmilk and The 405 -- earning the duo an official showcasing slot at SXSW, a set at the BUKU Music + Art Festival in NOLA, and an opening slot on Young & Sick's headlining US national tour. Then, in late January, Bent Denim released the Derivative Works EP, featuring covers of Kitty Pryde, Angel Olsen, and Taylor Swift -- the latter of which was described by The FADER as "a gorgeous southern rock ballad" and featured in the magazine's '10 Songs You Need In Your Life This Week.'

On April 28th Bent Denim will release their long-awaited debut album Romances You. Noisey has the first single today -- an emotive, minute long stream of consciousness called "Caitlin."
