MILAN TO MINSK

For Immediate Release: September 6, 2017

Brooklyn-based art-pop / lo-fi lounge quartet Milan to Minsk will release a new EP this October called Welcome To Hitler -- a collection of songs written around and about lead vocalist / guitarist Daniel Rote's move for the US and the first few years following. The EP also serves as an observation of power and social structure, and the parallels that exist between the drive for political, and artistic prestige and adoration.

The EP's first single, "Foxes For Tails," premieres today through Austin Town Hall. The title is based an old saying that asks if it is "better to be the head of the fox than the tail of a lion," and the track features guest vocalist Jessica Numsuwankijkul (of Debbie Downer and Heliotropes) and guest saxophonist John Stanesco (of Friend Roulette).
